Rywka Litzbarska

Niezwykłe, w 1927 roku wybory do rady miejskiej w Mławie wygrali Żydzi. W związku z tym, udało się w Mławie utworzyć kilka instytucji żydowskich takich jak dom starców czy drugie w całej Polsce (przy takiej ilości Żydów) przedszkole dla dzieci w wieku 4 - 7 lat. I tu pojawia się Rywka. Widzimy jak idzie przez rynek mławski w kierunku mieszkania, do którego udało jej się przenieść przedszkole. Dzieci miały teraz kawałek ogrodu, gdzie mogły się bawić. Jako dyrektorka instytucji Rywka musi poświęcać swój czas nie tylko dzieciom, ale i walce o pieniądze dla przedszkola. Niestety ostatnio zaczęła te batalie przegrywać. Magistrat odmówił jej pieniędzy na śniadania, które wcześniej finansowano. "Ciekawe, jak to będzie dalej..." - zastanawiała się Rywka, jak każda opiekunka dzieci przed nią i po niej. w 1935 roku, po zmianie burmistrza, przedszkole zostało zamknięte, a Rywka wyemigrowała do Palestyny. <<< Extraordinary! In 1927 the ellections to the municipal government in Mława was taken over by the Jews! As a result several Jewish institutions were created like the home for the elder and the second kindergarden in all Poland (with the number of Jews reaching 3.5 million). And here comes Rywka. We see her as she walks throught the Mława square towards the apartment where she has managed to put the kids. Now they have more space and some garden. As the head of the institution Rywka must devide her time between kids and the fights for money. Unfortunatelly, lately she started losing them. The municipaly refused financing breakfasts which were sponsored before. "What is it going to be in the future?" - she wondered just as hundreds of kids governers had wondered before her and will wonder after. In 1935, after the governor of Mława had changed, the kindergarden was closed and Rywka left for Palestine. >>>
